WHAT IS ACTREC?

The African Community Conservation and Tourism Research Resource Centre (ACTREC) embodies our shared belief and determination that, collectively, we can counteract the severe threat of Global Climate Change. This conviction is rooted in the current environmental state of nations like Uganda and the broader African continent, which still possess some remaining natural endowments. The Recovery Plan for the Pearls of Africa (RPPA) serves as a solid foundation for our belief. Understanding and supporting the fight against Climate Change is essential for grassroots communities, who are the most crucial stakeholders in this issue.

Herbert Banobi Executive Director - ACREC Africa

MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As the global community strives to find solutions for a range of complex issues, the multifaceted threats posed by climate change continue to be too intricate for philosophers to unravel worldwide. A promising strategy aimed at initiating a reversal trend in Africa is known as “The Recovery Plan for the Pearls of Africa (RPPA)”.
