They perform educative music dance and drama. The Ngoma gets even closer and more focused on how to improve the quality of life in Uganda. As Shakespeare said “Theatre is a mirror” in which the true image of our society can be seen. Our role as Ngoma actors is to expose this image for everybody to see clearly.But we need to go further than just exposing. We “enter” into the “mirror “get to the image “clean” it up and the “mirror” and turn it into the “real object”. In short, we mirror the society up and turn it into the society that our posterity and we shall feel comfortable to live in.

The Ngoma can dance over six styles of tribal dances that is Kikiga , Kinyabutumbi, Kinyankole, Kinyarwanda, Kifumbira and Kiganda.

Ngoma Actors organizes Annual festivals which start from parish level up to the Region in a given theme the group are given items to compete, and winners are given prizes, but the main intention is to educate the communities and entertain them. So, whoever comes to attend doesn’t miss anything.

This is a dance performed by one performer members of the group can provide accompaniment but must not dance. In such a dance, we consider the authenticity of the dance in terms of dancing techniques, styles, accompaniments, costuming identity etc.
