The Community Conservation Tourism in Kigezi was pioneered in Bwindi National Park in Buhoma in the 1990’s with efforts of the Recruited Rangers who engaged the local community to actively support the Conservation Project in this area thus tourism, coming to see the endangered Gorillas that were soon facing extinction and pay was a renumeration to conservation. This team of Retired Rangers are still in the struggle for conservation and the fight against Climate Change.

Torch Itinerary

This Activity involves, a Nature walk in the World Heritage site in Bwindi national Park along the Munyaga River. Identify a number of plants and some animal and reptile species.

Community Village walk around the Buhoma Community  and engage with the local. Experience the life of the community around Bwindi National Park.

It is possible to track Mountain Gorillas with the support of Retired Rangers that can easily secure you a Gorilla tracking permit. With a subsidy as Retired rangers has an opportunity to negotiate the Permits.
